Saving HP Inkjet Print Cartridge
Inkjet Cartridge is component from inkjet printer that contains ink and sometimes with the print-head for use in document or photographic printing. For HP Inkjet Printer, the HP Inkjet Print Cartridge is incorporated with the printer's head. Therefore the cartridge is more expensive while the printers are cheaper .
Because of the more expensive price, refill-cartridge sound like inexpensive option. Many manufacturer of this Refill is claimed their product is the same quality with the genuine HP Inkjet Print Cartridge. But in other hand, recent study found that the refill-cartridge is poor in quality and reliability compared with the original HP Inkjet Print Cartridge.
Indicator Lamp
Sometimes, the indicator lamp is confusing you whether the cartridge really out or not. Therefore HP has developed a free tool, HP SureSupply for sending automatic alerts when your printing supplies are low. Some HP Inkjet models provide indicator lamp for both color and B&W cartridge. When one of the light is on and solid, that is means the ink cartridge is low. But when the light is flashing, that is means the HP Inkjet Print Cartridge needs to be serviced.
Printing Mode – Way to Save Ink
If you feel the ink cartridge is running out so fast, maybe you should consider setup your printing mode. Varied printing mode can result in how fast the HP Inkjet Print Cartridge becomes low. There are commonly five printing modes, such fast draft, fast normal, normal, best, maximum dpi on the Printer Properties or Print dialog box.
The Printing mode setting will let you select the print speed and the amount of ink used when printing. Fast draft mode is using the least amount of ink in fastest speed. It is good for quick printing and B&W document as for draft printing. Then, fast normal mode is print faster than Normal mode and use more ink than Fast Draft. This mode is good for informal documents like last-minute book report as document that need darker print quality but has to print in seconds.
Normal mode is balance mode between speed and quality and used for most documents. You can use this setting for print letters, important document file, and other text-focused documents. If your document is include image and need to look as professional as possible, better use Best setting, as for print flyer or greeting card.
The maximum quality of printing will use at most amount of ink in slowest speed. Maximum dpi setting will provide highest quality printing, the most ink saturation, and it is good for printing photos, scrapbook pages, and other document that include full-color image.
Every HP Inkjet Print Cartridge holds the ink in the “reservoir” and split it up into sections. It is a good idea to keep extra of your ink cartridge to avoid any delay when you printing. And replace the cartridge as the manual told.
Inkjet printer has higher cost print per page than the laser. But it provides great quality that cannot be compared with other technology. Therefore, for saving the ink, you can set the printing mode for giving the right amount of ink based on the printed document's purposes.
