iBook Laptop History

iBook laptop is targeted to the education and consumer market. It is produced between 1999 and 2006 which offers lower price and more specification than Powerbook.
Previously, the owner of laptop computers is only the power users or
high-powered executives . Apple has allowed the laptop to infiltrate the consumer and student market which become the largest market nowadays. And it is also mean the
iBook laptop has become a breakthrough and pioneer in the world of laptop computing.
Many students are happy with the
iBook Laptop presence at that time. The appealing white and nice 12-inch display was attracted the market. It is small enough to be fit on the student case. Apple also provided educational discount for helping the student had their own laptop.
History
There are three design versions of iBook Laptop. The first version of iBook laptop is iBook G3/300 which also the siblings of iMac series and famously known as ‘Clamshell'. It shares the same colorful and
success story . This first iBook Laptop has 6GB hard drive, 64MB RAM, 300GHz G3 processor and 12.1-inch display. This laptop has been the most interesting laptop from its shape; wireless networking, and bright colors. Although for nowadays, it is not measured as a powerful machine.
And two years later, in 2001, the second design is released, the iBook G3 Dual USB. It is designed in 12.1- and 14.1-inch with original form factor of
conventional rectangular design . It leaves the previous bulky form-factor and additional power connectors on the bottom.
The second version of iBook Laptop was 30% lighter and 50% volume of the model is replaced for being smaller in all 3 dimensions as a result from
Apple development . It also added extra USB port and higher screen resolution.
Apple began to transit from translucent and white polycarbonate casings to anodized aluminum finish with
this version . The earlier iBook laptop modes are weighed over six pounds and the second drop it below five pounds.
The last generation of iBook laptop is released in October 2003. The third design is added PowerPC G4 chip and slot-loading drive
which known as iBook G4. The last revision of iBook G4 Laptop is deliver 512MB memory (max 1.5GB), up to 60GB hard drive, and two option of display screen, the 12.1- or 14.1-inch.The memory in the iBook G4 is covered by removable Airport Card which can be accessed with Philips 00 screwdriver.
During Apple transition to Intel processor in May 2006, Apple iBook laptop was replaced with MacBook line. In the time of iBook Laptop produced, this laptop has brought great memory for its buyer. The most replaced and added accessories are the battery or memory. The iBook has been common among students. It makes it more acceptable in
the student market . They can share and solve the problem easily if one has a problem.
