In general term, the suitable printers for high quality photography is inkjet photo printers . Inkjet photo printers are cheap at first time we buy it. But we should know that it has hidden cost, the ink. You will get better quality if you use larger ink cartridges.

Manufacturer like Canon, Epson, HP and Kodak has carried the categorization of photo printer. What refer the word photo printer are printers that can print directly from camera. But not all of those photo printers are suitable for professional photographers. Professional photographers are look more in productivity, control and media handling.

You can buy inkjet photo printers in cheap price around US$150 . This inexpensive photo printers will delivered a quality for your printing job. But the problem is the ink cartridge will get depleted soon. Therefore the cost for ink consumption is raising the price of having inkjet photo printers . The solution for this ink consumption problem is to buy the larger ink bottles that impact in decreasing the price per unit.

Therefore if you have a larger budget, it is better to have the more expensive photo printers. These printers less consumes ink and will output the better quality prints.

The Output Quality

Inkjet photo printer's output quality depends on a lot of factors . But the important ones is the color accuracy. Sometimes, when you print directly from the camera, the output quality was not perfect or near perfect.

For the same output quality printing with the true state the picture taken, the photo files should be printing through printer driver. The printer driver is the media to save the color profile for the used paper. Then, if you have the color profile set up, the photo will come out in the way they are . For suggestion, the excellent color profiles you can get from Canon and HP (not in order to underestimate the other brand).

Printer Speed

Sometimes, if we are in rush, for example, you have to go for an interview and your document preparation is not ready enough. Then you will print the document you need, commands the printer to print the entire document, and then we leave the printer doing its task, and have our outfits to be ready. Then 15 minutes we come back to take the printed document, but no document is going to be printed.

But when the image does not need any details, better you lower the resolution from the Properties of the Printing dialog box or use Fast/Draft mode to print the non-graphic document. The quality of the output printing is not about the true color it retains, but also from the speed that indicate the time you need for printing.

What photo printers you will buy is depend to your decision. If you have budget and you are serious or amateur in photography, the high-end photo printers will be a pleasure. And if your budget is not high enough, I am suggested to not buying the cheapest one. Better you choose the middle one.

And when you are already have . the printing, better you avoid single cartridge printer. Because the cartridges are need to be replaced once the color runs out And second, print B&W as often as possible so you do not waste the expensive color ink. Then, when the printer is alarming that it is out of ink, please not to be frightened. And last, always recycle the ink cartridges, you can get it pay back.
