Gadget Memory Review

Every gadget, whatever it is purposed, has memory inside. The need of technology is increasing as the advancement of information technology.
We will look about memory review in this article. We will start from the base, the type of memory depend on the gadget . In the computer are, there is difference between laptop and desktop computer memory. When you mention memory card, there are various type of memory card in digital camera, cell-phone, PDA, etc.
The easiest way to differ between laptop and desktop memory is seen on its size. Laptop memory has smaller size than the desktop does. Usually, there are four memory components in laptop while the desktop has eight memory components. The memory component is the square black which attached on green printed circuit board.
There is also the word SO-DIMM or DIMM with pin numbers to differentiate memory which is suitable with your laptop or desktop. SO-DIMM is smaller and thinner than the regular DIMM. The gold pins on the bottom of SO-DIMM memory is the way to connect between the module and socket on larger printed circuit board.
The common division in both laptop and desktop memory is divided into DDR, DDR2, or DDR3 and they are not interchangeable. This memory review has been discussed in the DDR Laptop Memory review. And for reference, the brand you can choose such Corsair, Kingston, Crucial, or V-Gen.
Memory Card Review
Memory card or flash memory card is storage that capable of storing digital contents from digital camera, handheld, mobile phone, music player, or other electronics.
The first in this memory review is the first format PC Card (PCMCIA) in 1990 which used for connection standard for devices nowadays. The CompactFlash (CF), SmartMedia (SM), and Miniature Card also released in 1990. Then, cell-phone also starts to embed tiny memory card (SID) inside. And it leads into smaller and smaller size of memory card.
Photography is very need of memory card. SM and CF were very successful to complete digital camera in 2001. And this trend is shift to SD/MMC in 2005.
There are many types of memory card based on their jobs. Nowadays, the common variety of memory card is Memory Stick, CompactFlash, SD, miniSD, microSD, etc. Some gadget can supported more than one memory card for increasing compatibikltiy.
Memory Stick family is released by Sony and include Memory Stick PRO which provide greater maximum storage capacity and faster transfer speed; Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo which is the smaller size of the Pro version; Memory Stick Pro-HG as the variant speed of the PRO to be used in video camera or high definition; Memory Stick Micro (M2) the smaller one.
The comprehension of miniSD and microSD is sometimes confusing. But the microSD card can be used in miniSD devices through adapter, but the bigger miniSD card cannot use in microSD device.
This memory review just shared a short description about general typical of memory. Hopefully by reading this memory review you can buy the right memory card for your gadget. In memory card segment, the venerable PC Card still manage to maintain its place while in the cell-phone, PDA, and digital camera the memory card market is highly fragmented.
